I have a confession to make.
In a previous substack, I wrote about transforming your life through physical exercise.
However, the writing was not entirely mine. I for some reason felt that my own writing was not good enough and put the essay through ChatGPT to subedit and rewrite it.
At the time this seemed better to me and I decided that that is what I should send out.
However, I decided to turn that script into a video. And when I recorded the ChatGPT version it felt off, as though it had fundamentally missed many of the core points and ideas which I had originally made. I then decided to record my original script instead, and it felt much more organic and real, and every point that was made felt authentic and real to my own story.
That video is being released now and if you’re interested in hearing it the way it was originally supposed to be written you can click here:

But there is a point to this.
In the past few months we have been looking at AI as this unbelievable threat, this incredible all-knowing intelligence which is going to take over all our jobs leaving us with nothing to do.
And AI is an incredible tool, which I often use and has been incredibly helpful in many of my workflows.
But for the time being AI lacks something incredibly important.
It lacks human experience.
And it therefore lacks soul.
AI can intellectualise and break down any concept into its most important parts, and provide information in a very concise way that it deems to be important.
But AI has never been able to experience things, it doesn’t know pain, anxiety, depression, hope or excitement. It is unable to feel the human experience and know what it is like to change and feel the enjoyment of certain suffering in the pursuit of an ultimate goal.
It only knows how to relay information but with nothing personal backing that information.
And so it will never be able to relate to us. And that was demonstrated when I asked ChatGPT to change my script. It sounded good initially, but it lacked the soul and understanding that I had initially wanted to put behind the message.
So fear not, you are not going to be easily replaced by a computer just yet.
Godspeed.
